I have to admit I don’t like the NBA. Just don’t like the style of basketball they play. But I am generally a hoops fan, grew up in New York, loved the Knicks as a kid, and live near Palo Alto, CA now. So I’m all over this Jeremy Lin “Linsanity” thing. And the best part of it is that nobody could have predicted it would happen and nobody knew how good Jeremy Lin would be in a Knicks uniform. Nobody. I just got back from a trip to visit our top resellers in NY last week, and although everyone there is enjoying the Knicks and Giants, nobody had expected it.
OK, transition back to Drobo now. I don’t think we, knew how good a backup solution Drobo could be in virtualized environments until we met the Veeam team. Turns out that our strong points (great price point, streaming performance, and unique thin provisioning) really shine in combination with Veeam software and feature set (instant recovery, deduplication, and awesome ease of use). Maybe we should have known how strong a solution it would be based on Veeam winning the 11 biggest awards in Virtualization.
Drobo has won lots of awards as well, the most recent being an Editor’s Choice at StorageReview.com for the Drobo B800i, the model that fits best with Veeam Backup and Replication v6. The combination is even better with the Drobo + Veeam promotions in effect now through the end of March. So give me your prediction, will “Linsanity” go on longer than the Veeam + Drobo promotions?
